Tyiesha Oliver - Assistant Principal

Ms. Tyiesha Oliver – MLK Assistant Principal

Greetings MLK Family,

My name is Tyiesha Oliver and I am native of Savannah, Georgia. I migrated to central Georgia to attend Fort Valley State University after graduating high school with plans to become an attorney. After college, I began work as a substitute teacher while attending graduate school. This experience allowed me to realize my true passion for teaching and propelled me to become an educator with the goal of sparking a love for learning in children. I began my career in education as a TAPP teacher in the Bibb County School District in the fall of 2005. I have spent my entire 14 year career supporting teachers and students at all grade levels. I wholeheartedly believe in providing high quality educational experiences for students and providing targeted support to teachers. I look forward to continuing this work at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School.
